The online version of the software looks better, but beware! This package has limited free online access, and you must sync your progress to the offline version to keep your progress once the online access expires. The pictures used look like old stock photos and the interface is clunky. The software itself is very dated looking and feeling. You will need a good text book and a French-English dictionary. There also isn't enough explanation of grammar rules, gendered words, etc. Rosette does bring you into the language very slowly, but I felt like the repetition in some cases was too much and in other cases it wasn't enough. But, I have found it to be much less complete than a free app I'm using on my phone. Given that Rosette has/had such a great name when it comes to language learning, I was expecting this software to be something special.
